1. Appreciate and acknowledge. 감사와 인정
In almost any business you are bound to encounter an angry customer or client who can ruin your day.
비즈니스를 하다보면 내 하루를 망칠 수 있는 화난 고객이나 클라이언트를 맞닥뜨리게 마련입니다.
- be bound to : 반드시~하다. 틀림없이 ~ 할 것이다.
Keep the following five steps in mind that can defuse most difficult situations.

In many cases you can turn the unhappy customer into a fan.

Step 1. Appreciate 감사하라.
Sincerely thank the customer for telling you his or her concern.

You should be actually very grateful that they are sharing their problems with you rather than sharing them on social media for the whole world to see.

Step 2. Acknowledge 인정하라.
This is your opportunity to alleviate some of the anger or frustration they are carrying.

Never get defensive, just listen.
절대 방어적 태도를 취하지 말고 그냥 들어주세요.
Your actions and words should simply express "I hear you".

Show your sincerity by writing down their concerns.
고객의 불만을 받아적는 것도 진정성을 보여줍니다.
Respond by saying ; I understand why you are upset, I believe I would be too or I can tell this has been an awful experience for you.
그리고 다음과 같이 답하세요. ; 속상하신 이유를 알겠습니다. 저라도 그럴거 같습니다. 또는 고객님에게 있어 이건 정말 끔찍한 경험이란 걸 알겠습니다.

There's an unruly customer who is angry about our return policy.

She was pretty cool for the first 10 mins. but she blew a fuse when Sam our cashier was adamant about our policy.

Well, as you know you can't return any product if you rip off the price tag or don't have the original receipt.

Our customer wants to return a dress she bought last week.
그런데 이 고객은 지난주 구매한 드레스를 환불하려고 하는데,
Not only did she take the price tag off, she threw away the receipt.
가격표도 떼어내고 영수증도 버려버린거에요.
She contends that her credit card SMS receipt is just as good as the paper receipt.
