2.5 Talk about a time when you got drunk
    술 취했던 경험을 이야기해봅시다.

I got together with some of my close friends recently.
최근 가까운 친구들과 모였습니다.

We hadn't seen one another for quite a long time.
꽤 오랫동안 서로 못봤습니다.
  - one another : 서로

We gathered at the restaurant and had dinner first.
식당에 모여서 저녁부터 먹었습니다.

We had some drinks while having the meal.
식사하면서 반주 했습니다.
  - have drinks: 술 마시다
   (ex: We should have some drinks with this. 이거랑 술이랑 같이 먹어야겠다.)

After we ate, we went to a bar to drink more.
다 먹고 나서 술을 더 마시려고 바로 갔습니다.

We even went to a Karaoke room after that.
그 뒤 노래방에도 갔습니다.
  - Karaoke room: 노래방 (=singing room)

We ended up drinking a lot that day.
그날 술 엄청 마시게 됐습니다.
  - end up ~ ing: 결국 ~ 하게 되다
    (ex: I had no idea that I would ended up drinking like that. 그렇게 술 많이 먹게 될지 몰랐다.)

I got completely drunk and couldn't walk straight.
완전히 취해서 똑바로 걷지도 못했습니다.
  - get drunk. : 취하다 (drunken이라고 쓰지 않는다, 주의!)
   (ex: He is a bad drunk. 그는 나쁜 술버릇이 있다.
        I get drunk with just a sip of beer. 맥주 한모금으로도 취합니다.)
        Can I have a sip: 한 모금 먹어도 돼? / Can I have a bite? 한입 먹어도 돼?)

I don't remember how I got home.
어떻게 집에 왔는지 기억이 안납니다.
  -get home : 집에 오다

Naturally I had a terrible hangover the following day
다음날 엄청난 숙취에 시달렸습니다.
  - hangover: 숙취
  (ex: I am hung over : 나 술이 안깼어.
       What do you do when you have a hangover: 술깨려고 어떻게 하세요?
       I'm  having the worst hangover of my life. 내 인생 최악의 숙취에 시달리고 있다)

I even took some medicine to sober up.
 술깨려고 약도 먹었습니다.
  -sober up: 술 취하지 않은, 술 깨다
   ex:  I'm sober 나 술 안취했어. 나 술깼어.
        I need to sober up fast. 술 빨리 깨야하는데.
        I had some soup to sober up next morning. 술깨려고 해장국을 먹었습니다.)

I regretted it drinking so much.
술 많이 마신걸 후회했습니다.

A: I got drunk last night. 어제 밤에 취했었어.
B: Really? I've never seen you get drunk. 정말? 니가 취한건 한번도 못봤는데.
A: I think I got drunk because I drank on a empty stomach. 빈 속에 술마셔서 그런거 같아.
B: No wonder. 놀랍지도 않네.

 *만취하다, 너무 취해서 인사불성되다
I got completely drunk= I got smashed = I got nearly passed out. = I got wasted.  

*술 취한 정도: 알콜의 5단계
 Tipsy살짝 취한 - Buzzed 기분좋게 알딸딸한- drunk 취한- wasted 맛 간- blackout 완전히 필름이 끊김




2.4  Talk about a time When you had enteritis
   장염에 걸렸던 때를 얘기해봅시다.

I remember a time I had enteritis a few month ago.
몇 달 전 장염에 걸린 적이 있었습니다.
  - enteritis: 장염
   (ex: Having a mild case of enteritis is quite common. 가벼운 장염은 흔한 일입니다.)

It was pretty bad.
꽤 심했어요.

I had eaten some raw fish and that triggered something in my stomach.
회를 먹었는데 그게 속을 좀 안좋게 한거 같습니다.
  -trigger : 촉발시키다

I had to go to the bathroom again and again because I had the runs .
설사가 나서 화장실에 계속해서 가야 했습니다.
  - had the runs  : 설사하다 (=diarrhea)
  (ex: I had the runs after having fish that went bad. 상한 생선을 먹고 설사했습니다)

I had a fever and couldn't get out of bed.
열이 있고, 일어나기도 힘들었습니다.
  - have a fever ; 열나다
    ( I had a high fever and feel a bit dizzy: 고열이 있고 좀 어지러워요)
  - can't get out of bed : 거동하기 힘들다, 일어나지도 못하다

I went to a hospital and stayed there for two days.
병원에 가서 이틀간 입원했습니다.

I got an IV and all I ate was porridge.
링거를 맞고 먹은 거라곤 죽뿐입니다.
  -IV (intravenous): 링거, 수액

It took me almost a week to recover completely .
완전히 낫기까지 한 일주일이 걸렸습니다.
  -recover completely : 완전히 낫다
  (ex: You need plenty of rest to recover completely from a cold. 감기에서 완전히 회복하려면 충분히 쉬어줘야 해)

It was one of the worst experiences in my life.
내 인생에서 최악의 경험이었죠.
  -one of the worst ~: 최악의 ~ 중 하나
  -in my life : 내 인생에서 (of my life)

I posted some pictures of myself at the hospital on Facebook.
병원에서 찍은 사진을 페이스북에 올렸습니다.

And many of my friends left get-well messages. 
많은 친구들이 빨리 나으라는 메시지를 남겼습니다.
  - get-well messages : 병문안메시지, 빨라나아라 메시지

I posted a thank-you message after I got better.
다 낫고 나서 고맙다는 메시지를 올렸습니다.

2.3 Talk about when you had indigestion
    소화불량에 걸린 경험을 얘기해봅시다

I had a pretty bad case of indigestion last weekend.
지난 주말 꽤 심하게 소화불량에 걸렸습니다.
  -  pretty bad case of~: 안좋았던 ~ 증세

I ate dinner too fast because I was hungry.
배고파서 저녁을 급하게 먹었어요.

About an hour after dinner, I had stomach cramps and I felt like throwing up.
저녁먹고 한시간 즘 뒤, 위경련이 있었고 속이 미식거렸습니다.
  - stomach cramps: 위경련 (the cramps : 생리통)
  (ex:  I have a cramp in my foot  발에 쥐가 났어요.
        What do you do when you have stomach cramps? 복통이 있을때 어떻게 하세요?
  - feel like throwing up: 토할거 같다. 미식거리다, 속이 안 좋다
  (ex: The long bus ride make me feel like a throwing up. 장시간 버스를 탔더니 토할거 같았다.
       When I get sea sick, I feel like throwing up 배멀미 하면 토할 거 같다 )

I went to the pharmacy to get some medicine.
약국에 가서 약을 좀 샀습니다.

However the medicine didn't do any good.
그런데 약이 별로 효과가 없었습니다.
  - do good: 효과가 있다. 효력이 있다. (=helpful, effective)
  (ex: I knew that it wouldn't do any good. 그게 효과 없을지 알았어.
       I don't think the coffee didn't do any good because I'm still sleepy. 커피가 별로 효과가 없는 거 같아, 여전히 졸려.)

My mom pricked the tip of my thumb with a needle.
엄마가 바늘로 제 엄지 끝을 땄습니다.
  - prick: 콕 찌르다

That's a home remedy for indigestion.(인더제스쳔)
체했을 때 하는 민간요법입니다.
  - home remedy : 민간요법

I didn't feel well until the next morning.
다음날 아침까지 몸이 좋지 않아서
  - not feel well: 몸이 좀 안좋다. 컨디션이 안좋다.
  (ex: He can't make it here today because he's not feeling well. 그가 몸이 안 좋아서 오늘 여기 못옵니다.)

I just had to stay inside and get lots of rest.
안에 있으면서, 푹 쉬었습니다.
  - get lots of rest : 푹 쉬다
  (ex: You need to get lots of rest over the weekend. 너 주말동안 푹 쉬어야겠다)

Ever since that instance, I always make sure to eat slowly even when I'm hungry
그 이후 배고프더라도 항상 천천히 먹도록 주의합니다.
 - eat slowly  천천히 먹다 (<-> eat fast)

A: Oh, do you have any feel of indigestion? 너, 위경련 같은 느낌 있니?
B: Why? Do you have a stomachache? 왜? 너 복통 있어?
A: Yeah, My stomach is upset. 응, 속이 안 좋아.
B: Oh, no. Let me see what I have. 오, 나한테 뭐 있는지 좀 볼게.





2.2 Talk about the last time you went out to eat at restaurant
     마지막으로 외식한 경험을 얘기해봅시다.

I took my parents and children out for dinner last weekend.
최근 부모님을 모시고 아이들과 함께 지난 주말 저녁먹으로 갔습니다.
  -take somebody out for dinner : ~ 데리고 저녁식사 하다
  (ex: I plan to take her out for dinner for tomorrow 내일 그녀와 함께 저녁을 하려 한다)

We went to a Korean barbecue restaurant.
우리는 불고기 식당으로 갔습니다.

The Place is famous for Korean beef called Hanwoo.
한우라고 하는 한국소고기로 유명한 집입니다.
  - be famous for : ~ 로 유명하다

They have the best Hanwoo in town.
그 근방에서 정말 한우를 맛있게 하는 맛집입니다.
  -They have the best~ : ~를 하는 맛집이다
   (ex: The have the best past in town. 근방에서 파스타는 여기가 최고다)

As always we grilled the meat on a grill right in front of us.
항상 그렇듯 바로 앞에서 불판에다 고기를 구웠습니다.
   -grill the meat : 고기를 굽다
  (ex: People grill the meat on their own 사람들은 직접 고기를 굽는다
        I know how to grill the meat just right : 딱 알맞게 고기 굽는 법을 안다)

The meat was so tender and juicy.
고기가 연하고 육즙이 풍부했습니다.
  - tender : 연하다 <-> tough 질기다
  - juicy : 즙 (과즙, 육즙 등)

There were various side dishes that tasted really good as well.
여러 반찬이 있었는데, 그것도 정말 맛있었습니다.

The food probably tasted extra good because we were starving.
배가 너무 고팠기 때문에 유난히 더 맛있었는지도 모르겠네요.
  - extra : 유난히~ 하다 (구어체에서 많이 씀)
    (ex: Dinner will taste extra good if you eat after exercising 운동하고 밥먹으면 밥맛이 유난히 더 좋다.
         I'm starving to death : 배고파 죽겠네.)

We had waited thirty minutes to get a table because there were many people waiting.
기다리는 사람들이 많았기 때문에 자리잡기까지 30분 기다렸습니다.
  - get a table : 자리를 잡다 (특히 식당에서)
 (ex: It is difficult to get a table at this restaurant on the weekend. 주말엔 이 레스토랑에 자리잡기 힘듭니다.
      How long do we have to wait to get a table? 자리잡으려면 얼마나 기다려야 하나요)

We ate plenty of meat and had Korea soybean paste soup at the end.
고기를 양껏 먹고, 마지막에 된장찌개를 먹었습니다.
  - plenty of~: ~ 충분한

Overall it was very enjoyable dinner.
정말 기분 좋은 식사였습니다.
  - enjoyable : 기분좋은 (= memorable, pleasant)

2.1 Talk about internet security
   인터넷 보안에 대해 얘기해봅시다.

Internet security has become a major issue in recent years.
최근 몇 년 사이 인터넷 보안이 중요한 문제가 되었습니다.
  -in recent years: 최근 몇 년 사이
  -become a major issue :  큰 문제가 되다
  (ex: The rising unemployment rate has become a major issue. 증가하는 실업률이 큰 문제가 되고 있습니다.)
       The low birthrate has become a major issue in Korea. 저출산이 한국에서 중요한 문제가 되고 있습니다.)

Hacking programs have become more sophisticated.
해킹 프로그램이 점점 더 첨단화되고 있습니다.
  - sophisticated : 세련된 첨단적인
  (Ex: The way people dress has become more sophisticated. 패션이 점점 세련돼간다.)

It is easy to get access to them online.
그들에겐 온라인에 접속하는 건 쉬운 일입니다.
  - get access to :~에 접근하다

Also hackers have become better at what they do.
그들이 해킹을 더 잘하게 되었습니다.
  -become better at : ~에 더 잘하게 되다

Their hacking techniques have evolved over the years.
해킹 기술도 수년 간 진화했습니다.

Banking systems and customer databases have been  breached.  
 은행 시스템과 고객 정보가 뚫렸습니다.
  -be breached : 뚫리다
   (ex: Security has been breached quite often over the years. 수년 사이 보안이 자주 뚫렸습니다.)

As a result, personal information has been leaked quite often.
그 결과로 개인정보가 유출되고 있습니다.
  - be leaked: 유출되다
  (ex: Water is leaking from the bottle. 물이 새고 있다)

Against this backdrop, internet security measures have been strengthened.
이런 배경에서, 인터넷 보안 조치가 강화되었습니다.
  - Against this backdrop: ~를 배경으로

New laws have been made to protect personal information.
개인정보를 보호하기 위한 새로운 법안이 만들어졌습니다.

Overall the ongoing battle against hacking will continue to be a big issue.
결론적으로 진행중인 해킹전쟁은 계속 큰 문제가 될 것입니다.
   -the ongoing battle : 진행중인 싸움
  (ex: The ongoing battle against cancer will be a priority. 암을 상대로 한 싸움이 최우선이 될 것입니다)

Internet users also have to make their own efforts to enhance security.
인터넷 사용자들도 안전성을 높이기 위해 자체 노력을 기울여야 합니다.
  - make one's own efforts : 스스로 노력을 하다, 나름대로 노력하다
  (ex: We have to make our own efforts to produce less garbage. 쓰레기배출을 줄이기 위해 우리 나름대로 노력해야 합니다.)

A: Probably because I haven't changed my password for a long time. 아마도 오랫동안 비밀번호를 바꾸지 않아서인거 같아.
B: You should change your password regularly. 비밀번호를 주기적으로 바꿔줘야 해.
