Bank of Korea, BOK is Korea's central bank.

The BOK's main responsibility is to come up with monetary policies.
한국은행의 주요 역할은 통화정책을 수립하는 것입니다.

First it sets the benchmark interest rate periodically.

This helps bring about price stability.

1.
Time is generally considered elastic in the Philippines.
필리핀에서는 일반적으로 시간은 유연한 것으로 여겨집니다.
  - elastic (일래스틱) : 신축성있는, 융통적인, 변통 가능한 (=flexible)

It is not uncommon for business meetings to start late.
비지니스미팅이 늦는 건 흔이 있는 일이죠.

They call it  Filipino time.
사람들은 이를 필리피노 타임이라 부릅니다.

But as show of respect and common courtesy,  arrive on time and wait.
하지만 존중과 통상적 예의의 표시로, 제시간에 도착해 기다리세요.
  - courtesy(커터시): 공손함, 정중함
  - as show of respect : 존경심의 표시로

2.
Filipino loves the idea of 'Pakikisama파키키싸마' which means to get along with others.

This's strongly encouraged in the spirit of camaraderie.

While there is much Western influences historically,  much of the Filipino culture is very much Asian.

They generally have hard time saying NO, because it could be construed as negative or unfriendly.

If you must disagree or reject someone, be sure to do it gingerly.

I have become much more health-conscious with what I eat.

I try to eat healthy as much as I can.
가능한 한 건강하게 먹으려고 합니다.

First of all, veggies and fruits are good for our health.

They contain a lot of vitamins and fiber.

Beans and chicken breast are very good for us as well, because they are rich in healthy protein.

Dogs need to get vaccinations, especially when they are puppies.

I made a visit to the dentist for regular check-ups.

Last month I went to get my teeth cleaned.

I'm often confused between the words fair and just.
저는 종종 fair 와 just 의 의미가 헷갈립니다.

What is exactly difference between them?
두 단어의 정확한 차이는 뭐죠?

Many people use the two words interchangeably.
두 단어를 바꿔 사용하는 사람들이 많은데요.

But there's a fundamental difference between the two.

I usually head to work at 8:30am.  8시 반에 출근합니다.

I feel like it's  stagnant period. So I decided to write some article or information in English every day. This is my second day.
Today's topic is how to learn English in a new way.

<How to learn English in a new way>

Do you need to improve your English quickly? Are ou looking for new ways to help you become fluent? Here are some tips on how to learn English, which you probably hadn't thought about before! Put these into practice right away!


1. Switch your search engine to English and type something that you're interested in.

This could be anything from healthy food recipes, learning English, or holidays, to fashion, animals, or cars
You'll find many websites with information that interests you, and articles to read in English on subjects that matter to you. Read them and you will automatically build your vocabulary! Don't worry if you don't understand everything you read immediately, you will probably need to check some words in a dictionary from time to time, but that's how you learn!


2. Read a book in English.

Go to your local bookstore or library, and find a book that's written in English. You could even buy one online and have it delivered to you. E-books are also quite popular nowadays! Once you have our e-reader, you can simply buy an e-book inline and it registers onto your e-reader instantly. There are also thousands of free e-books on offer on various websites!

It doesn't have to be anything complicated or difficult to read, just something simple that you can enjoy and learn a few new words at the same time. Try to find a book that is the right level for you. You only want to learn a few new English words on each page at a time. If there are a lot of new English words on every page, then you need to find something a little easier. Even if you start with a children's book, it doesn't matter! Don't make it any harder for yourself, than it already is.

This will help you to learn some new English words, and train your brain to think in English! This is an active learning process, and is very important if you want to become fluent. You have to be able to not just speak in English, but also think in English.

When you are reading, you imagine the scene in your head and try to understand what the writer is saying. This can sometimes be quite difficult, but it offers many advantages to English learners:

- You can learn new vocabulary, not just words alone, but also how they would be used in sentences.
- Learn at your own pace. You could finish a book in one week, or study each page carefully and read it over a few months or longer - it's up to you!
- You can pace something that interests you personally.
- If you pick the right book, you'll also see how the grammar is structured. This will help to prepare you for writing in English!


3. Listen to Podcasts. 

This is a brilliant way of learning English on the move. If you're going for a walk, plug your headphones in and listen to something in English.
You can download podcasts about almost any topic you like! Another great thing about listening to podcasts, is that you'll hear native speakers using colloquialisms, slang, and idioms that are used in everyday English, and this will help you to understand them in context.


4. Change your language settings on your computer to English!

I would only recommend you do this if your English is at pre-intermediate level or higher. This is a fabulous way to learn English without even realizing it! At first, you night struggle with seeing messages or commands popping up in English, but after a while it will seem quite natural.
Start off by changing your MS Word or MS Excel settings, and see how you cope with that. After a while, if you're feeling brave enough, you could switch your whole computer to English!

5. Follow companies and people on Twitter who tweet in English, and the same on Facebook, Goolge+ or Linkedin.

Only go for the ones that genuinely interest you, otherwise you probably won't be bothered about reading what they have to say. Just type in a twitter search such as #travel or #business, then, tweet and communicate with people about your chosen topic.

Just 'Like' or subscribe to brand pages or people whom you're interested in. Then read their news or articles and comment on what they share. It is definitely much easier to learn when the subject matters to you.

6. Use Google News or Newswhip.com.

You can find some amazing articles to read on these sites. They cover topics in Sports, Science, Health, Entertainment, Technology, as well as others!

Just scroll through the lists until you find something that you're interested in, and would like to read.


7. Sign up to a magazine subscription.

 If you live in an area that is quite remote, or maybe you don't have access to a library or a bookstore that sells books in Enligsh. Go online, and subscribe to a magazine that is based on a topic that interests you. This could be anything from animals, sports, health, the planet, or even something you're studying!

If you don't want to commit to paying for a monthly subscription, then alternatively you could go to a store that sells magazines and buy one when you want to. Just like reading a book, you will come across new vocabulary all the time, which you can check in your dictionary, and try to understand its usage in context while you are reading.


8. Start your own blog in English.

This blog could be about anything you like. It would probably be easier to focus on a topic that you are familiar with, or something that you would like to get feedback on from your  readers. As an example, you could write about learning English. You could talk about how you study, what you main problems with the language are, and maybe encourage other English learners to share their views with you! This could also be a good opportunity to communicate with native English speakers around the world about what you've learned, what ou know, and what you're trying to improve.

People will be able to give you advice on how to improve your English. This way, native speakers could comment on your blogs and offer tips and other English learners could join you in becoming fluent together!

That's just one idea though, ou could write about anything you want.
Share your knowledge and experiences with others; ask questions, and get answers.
Take me as an example, I'm an English language learner and this is my blog. My English has improved a lot, since I started blogging!


9. Read other people's blogs and forums.

10. Do all the things you usually do, but in English.

11. Practice with your own native, private English teacher.

12. Use all the free resources ou can get your hands on!

There's saying ; "Writing is one of the most effective ways to improve English."
So I made up my mind to write one article in English everyday!
It started just now. :)

I googled that how to improve English quickly, and I found this one.
It's quite good, so want to share here.

The more you write and read English correspondence, the easier you will find recognizing the language. Not to mention the fact that written English is one of the main tools of workplace communication (emails or text chats), sometimes even if you're sitting next to the person you want to communicate with (generally so there is written confirmation of the discussion). If you are looking for formal and informal email phrases you can start using right away, you should definitely check this out.

So, what you can do to improve your English writing skills?

1. It may be obvious, but don't forget to take notes during classes and do all your homework! Some people may not find it necessary to write down what their teacher says, but a lack of attention can result in lack of improvement. It can be quite demanding to study a new language whilst juggling all other day-to-day activities in life, and as such requires a lot of effort. So, to make it easier on yourself, be organised with your learning. Take notes to help you remember things after a busy day, do your homework and get closer to your English fluency goal.

2. Write in your own words! Read something that interests you (about a topic that you are already familiar with) and try to write it again in your own words. This is also known as 'paraphrasing' and can help you to solidify your understanding of what you read, by expressing it in your own way. You will  undoubtedly use synonyms, so it may be worth investing in a thesaurus!

3. Exchange correspondence with your friends in English. Reading and writing in English has and always will be an effective way of improving these skills. The more you don, the more you learn, and therefore, the better you get!

4. Search interactive websites that provide online practice and correction! Here anre some examples to get you started.: Quizlet, UsingEnglish, CardKiwi or Grammar Check.


5. Utilize social media! There are a great number of online platforms where you can share, chat and comment- all in Elngish!


6. Improve your English writing skills by blogging.
Share your learning experiences with others and tell people how you're improving and what you're doing to get there. Don't see this as boasting; it should be used purely to record your progress, give tips that wored well foryou to other learners and most of all, practise your writing skills!
