I'm far from a being good cook.

I normally cook simple things to have for myself.

I can cook it up by myself.

I like cooking things up by myself at home. (혼자 집에서 요리하는 걸 좋아한다)

these days there r online recipes I can refer to

there r various blog posting things you can cook up by yourself

also there r tons of cooking shows on TV

a lot of them deal with(다루다) simple recipes  you can try this at home.

I take notes (메모하다) : do you have taking notes? 메모합니까?
watching those show when I have time.

I think my cooking skills getting better everytime I cook

I'm ok cook. (구어: 나쁘지 않아. 괜찮게 요리해)
